Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Unpouched ("we", "us") covering your use of the Unpouched iOS app and this website. By using the app, you agree to them. If you get the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

2. What Unpouched is — and isn't

Unpouched is a habit-change tool: a taper planner, streak and savings tracker, and craving-management timer for people quitting nicotine pouches.

It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Health-related timelines and figures in the app are estimates based on published research. Nicotine withdrawal can be genuinely difficult; talk to a healthcare provider about quitting, especially if you have a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something in the app.

3. Eligibility

The app is rated 17+ and intended for adults. You must be old enough to legally purchase the app in your country and to form a binding agreement.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Parts of the app (the personalized taper plan, insights, and other premium features) require a paid subscription or a one-time purchase. Current prices, always shown before you start any trial:

• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the listed price until you cancel. Your Apple ID account is charged at confirmation of purchase, and for renewals within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Free trial: the weekly plan includes a 3-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you won't be charged. Any unused trial time is forfeited when a purchase completes.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or via the manage-subscription link in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you're stuck, email us and we'll point you the right way.
• Price changes: if a price changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to agree before you're charged.

The day counter, money-saved counter, basic logging, and share cards are free and stay free.

5. Your data

Your quit data is stored on your device, not on our servers — see the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device backups; deleting the app deletes your local data.

6. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app; don't use it in a way that breaks the law; don't attempt to disrupt the service or other users. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse.

7. Intellectual property

The app, site, name, mascot, and all content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. Third-party brand names mentioned (ZYN, Rogue, Velo, and others) are trademarks of their respective owners; Unpouched is not affiliated with or endorsed by any nicotine brand.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that using it will result in you quitting nicotine — that part is on you (we're rooting for you, though).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If we make material changes, we'll post the new terms here with a new effective date; continued use after that means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the seller of record is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory additional rights.
