FAQ
When is the app available?
Unpouched is in the final stretch before its App Store release — the app itself is built and being tested. This page will link straight to the App Store the day it's live.
How does logging work?
During your taper, every pouch you use gets logged with one tap — the big LOG ONE button in the app, or a single tap on the home-screen widget (no need to open the app). The day ring shows where you stand against today's limit. Forgot one? You can add or edit logs for earlier days from the Log tab; your streak and savings recompute honestly.
How do I set up the widget?
- Long-press your Home Screen until the apps jiggle
- Tap Edit → Add Widget (or the + button) and search "Unpouched"
- Pick a size and tap Add Widget
The widget shows your day count (or today's taper count) and logs a pouch with one tap. There are also Lock Screen widgets under Customize Lock Screen.
I slipped. Did I lose everything?
No. That's the whole point of Unpouched. Log the slip — if you finish a 5-minute SOS within 24 hours, your streak can hold (you get one free recovery per rolling 30 days). Even when a run does restart, your longest streak and lifetime clean days are permanent and never reset.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so cancelling takes two taps and doesn't involve us:
- Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name → Subscriptions
- Pick Unpouched → Cancel Subscription
Or use the manage-subscription link in the app's Plan tab. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep premium until the end of the paid period. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I restore purchases on a new phone?
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID, then open the paywall or Plan tab and tap Restore Purchases. Lifetime purchases and active subscriptions come back automatically — Apple keeps the receipt, not us.
Can I export or delete my data?
Export: Plan tab → Settings → Export data gives you a JSON file of everything — free, no subscription needed.
Delete: your data lives only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it. There's no server copy and no account to close. (Heads up: that also means we can't recover it for you — export first if you want a backup.)
Are the health timelines medical advice?
No. Recovery timelines and projections are estimates based on published research — reasonable expectations, not diagnoses. Talk to a healthcare provider about quitting nicotine, especially if you have a medical condition. If quitting is hitting you hard, your doctor or dentist has seen it before and can genuinely help.
